In this auction I am selling my TTArtisan 28mm F5.6 lens in Leica M-Mount. I used it on my M10, M10-R and my M11 (and M4 film camera). The lens operates as new with good sharpness on all f-stops but is a little soft wide-open – just as the Leica original is. SEE the sample photo I have included. Condition: Optics: the glass is clean and clear with No haze, No fungus, No scratches, No internal dust. Mechanics: This all-brass lens operates perfectly with flawless mechanics – EXCEPT: the focus lock sometimes fails to lock into place without a strong nudge. Cosmetics: Excellent condition cosmetically (rating a 9), showing little wear. – EXCEPT: the hood – lots of brass showing (see image) from accidentally rubbing on something when it fell out of the case on a shoot. NOTE: I never used the hood as it is large and blocks the viewfinder. The front of the lens is really far recessed. I don’t know anyone who uses the hood on this or the Leica version! All components – the lens, lens hood, front cap and rear cap are made of brass. There is no plastic on this lens. All markings are engraved so will always be there, even with the wear and tear of time. I would guess that most who use this lens do so with a style similar to a Point & Shoot; it’s great depth-of-field makes this possible. There is no M-Mount lens you can use faster. Similar to the Leica original, there is a lock on the focus lever. This assists in locking this tiny lens’s bayonet mount into place on the camera body, as well as removing the lens from the camera. The focus lock on this lens does not always lock at infinity (but I don’t push it hard into place, maybe that’s why?) I did not bother exchanging the lens as I don’t always want to use the lock mechanism when shooting. I do use it to mount & un-mount the lens.
