Description: TWO mid-century TELESCOPE Folding Wood Director Chairs, COWHIDE back and seat TELESCOPE CASUAL FURNITURE started business in New York City in 1903 but in 1921 they relocated to the small town of Granville in upstate New York where they remain to this day. I purchased these two beautiful, genuine TELESCOPE folding directors chairs from an estate in West Rupert, Vermont (just across the border from Granville). His son told me that the gentleman had worked for TELESCOPE for many years. In addition to his employment there He worked at the family farm that ran Ayrshire dairy cows - hence the brown and white cowhide on the one chair. The other one is a Holstein cowhide. These chairs look like they have scarcely ever been used.
