Description: exact items shown, ones with blue stripe test good, ones with red stripe did not and are priced as a box with connectors that could be useful. I have purchased some better test equipment, and so I have more credible test results - I have tested all of these. The good ones show the local oscillator at least 20 dB below the high and low signal the defective ones either don't mix right or don't suppress the LO like they should. The defective ones make useful boxes with 3 SMA connectors for your other projects. As you can see from the photos, my pass/fail test put the Local Oscillator (LO) at 4 GHz and the IF at 500 MHz - this puts the upper RF at 4.5 GHz, and the lower at 3.5GHz. The analyzer and the signal generators are accurate, the difference between the actual frequency and what the marker shows on the screens I captured is due to the wide resolution bandwith I was using for those measurements - after completing these tests, I narrowed the resolution bandwidth and the spectrum analyzer shows the 4GHz LO at 4GHz and the 500 MHz IF at 5000 MHz exactly there is a good discount for buying several of these at the same time, good or bad ones. original (pathetic) test of two of these - the "Poor" one is defective (bad filter), the good one is good:\both tested at 2,3,4 GHz, they seem happiest with 2 GHz, my signal generator doesn't go below 2, so I'm gussing that may be 1 to 3? I tested two of these, the first sequece shows a possibly working mixer with poor rejection of the LO. This one was wrapped in a ball of duct tape when I got it - who knows it that meant it was bad, or it was being protected. The second sequience is the one marked A, this one looks good, the IF shows up stronger than the LO like it should, and is imaged on both sides of the LO - I was using the 100 MHz reference built into the spectrum analyzer at -10 dB, and the LO at 0 and -10 dB. note to me - computer hutch left side top shelf bin 4 (good ones in a plastic bag)from the data sheetFeaturesLO and RF: 1.0 to 4.2 GHzIF: DC to 1 GHzLO Drive +7 dBm (nominal)High Isolation 40 dB (typ.)
