Thank you for considering this unfinished 98 Mauser stock with a side safety cutout. This unbranded unfinished stock has been identified for a 98 Mauser. The Mauser trigger guard fits the mounting holes at a 7 7/8” hole centers.  One of the concerns is the cutout where the Remington 700 safety lever would be located or a Mauser with an aftermarket Remington type trigger and safety.  There is no hole for the Mauser Magazine cover release button. If it’s Remington it would not need one.  Thus partial cutout behind the trigger guard mounting hole is unnecessary with the Mauser. I’m 77 years old and hoping to sell my parts to people who need them before my heirs throw them away. RETURNS FOR MIS-IDENTIFIED PARTS ARE ACCEPTED & ENCOURAGED.
