Description: Antique original map titled Plate I. "MAP OF THE UNITED STATES AND TEXAS BOUNDARY LINE AND ADJACENT TERRITORY." Published in "The Bulletin of the United States Geological Survey No.194: The Northwest Boundary of Texas, Marcus Baker 1902". Detailed survey performed for the United States government of the recent areas claimed by Texas, part of New Mexico, and the Indian Territory. The survey was conducted between 1857-60. The original publication of this map was delayed due to the start of the Civil War. For unknown reasons it was lost in the government archives and not published until 1902 by the U.S. Geological Service. Measures approx. 41x 28 inches. Very good + condition. This is an original antique NOT a reproduction. Items are shrink wrapped on acid free backing and mailed flat. 30-day return policy for any reason.
