Description: Fine quality University of North Dakota School of Mines vase with daffodils in relief and finished in a two-tone umber and "burnt" umber glaze that enhances the three dimensional aspect of the vase. Fully marked with cobalt blue circular mark and with maker's mark "JM" for Julia Mattson and glaze or shape number 130. An identical vase in green made by Margaret Kelley Cable in green is in the permanent collection of the UND (see last image for inventory listing). The vase measures 5 1/4" tall x 5 1/4" diameter. It is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs.
