Description: The University of Michigan Symphony Band under William D. Revelli are here in a two-for-one pairing of albums on 3 3/4 ips open-reel tape. Amongst other things, these are THE definitive recordings of the Big Ten Fight Songs ever recorded. If you are sick of the mediocre pressings available of these recordings (with the terrible pinch distortion at the ends of the sides) or the harsh sound of the indifferent digital transfers to CD, here is the ultimate original analog solution. Recorded on Ampex tape on Ampex tape machines is this open-reel release directly from Vanguard. Included are two albums: Touchdown, USA and Kick-Off, USA. This tape is in very good shape, with the original leader still intact. It seems to have been a rental tape from a Hi-Fi store in Ann Arbor when they still did such things. The case has some small splits and some writing, but otherwise is in good shape for its 45+ years. See all the pictures for details of the condition. Like all vintage items, this is a final sale, as-is, no refunds or returns except if not as described or photographed. International bidders are welcome ONLY if we can close the transaction through the eBay Global Shipping Program. Please check international shipping and import costs before bidding.
