This badge is old new stock and was never issued or used and is in mint condition for its age. This Combat Infantryman Badge patch was prototype that was authorized but never issued. The badge was found in my travels and is now being presented to the world through this eBay listing. This badge would make a great addition for any militaria collection especially when the 8th Award CIB has never been awarded and you rarely come across them.
