Description: Offered here is a beautiful and impressive challenge coin that commemorates the A-7 era for the Sidewinders of VA-86. The squadron flew the A-7 Corsair II from 1967 until 1987, and were based at NAS Cecil Field. The coin is 2" wide, and 3mm thick, cast in gold-tone metal with great colors and texture. One side features the squadron's insignia. The other side of this coin is emblazoned with an A-7 in a 45-degree dive, delivering the mail, along with the phrase, "When you care enough to send the very best". The coin would make a wonderful gift for anyone who served with VA-86, or would make a great addition to any collection.
