This mesmerising Wirepull is a Type 1 variation; with a clear base and a dual thread, with one coloured and one white wire. It was made by the famous Veiligglas Company of Amsterdam, in the Netherlands during the 50's and 60's. There are a number of different types of Wirepull, though all share a clear or transparent coloured glass base with a single or double wire, often unbroken in the twists and turns it makes as it fills the base glass. They have a widely varied, highly collectible and enjoyable character, with many different combinations of wire type, colour and structure - varying from wispy and amorphous to bold, flat 'tapeworm' designs.These attractive vintage marbles were very popular when they were made, and are becoming harder to obtain over time. This marble would make an ideal start to a collection, or an addition to a enthusiast's portfolio. Size: Approx 15.8 to 16.8 mm; 0.62'' to 0.65'', or 5/8'' of an inch.Condition: Mint, with a glossy surface.
