Very Nice Condition 1970's VINTAGE KENMORE SEWING MACHINE 158.19412

Description: VERY NICE CONDITION 1970's VINTAGE KENMORE SEWING MACHINE 158.19412 This great vintage machine has been cleaned and oiled. It came to me in fully operational condition but I went through it top to bottom. It operates flawlessly just like when it was new. This machine was used but never abused, you can tell by its condition. The internal steel parts are rust free and clean. The only issue I notice with this machine is the extension table assembly lacks the super high gloss finish luster that the main body of the machine has. I can only imagine it was cleaned at sometime with a harsh chemical like paint thinner. It not a big deal but thought I would disclose what I noticed. The difference is impossible to show in a photograph, I tried. The Sears Kenmore 158 series of sewing machines which were made in Japan are the best of the Kenmore line of sewing machines. (Beware there are 158 series machines which were made in Taiwan). You can not go wrong with any of these high quality Japanese made machines for your sewing needs. The 158.1941 series, which there are 19410, 19411 and 19412 are highly sought after because of their powerful motors, all steel internal gear construction and steel outer case giving the machine unheralded reviews.Sears offered quite a line up of Kenmore sewing machines in the 1970's offering 6-12 stitch basic models, the modifier stitch models and the deluxe models which used the top loading cams for even more stitch options. The 158.1941 series is the modifier series offering five (5) stitches which then can be modified with a flip lever and do an additional 5 (five) stitches. There are dials on front for stitch selection, stitch width and stitch length and a reverse lever. The machine uses a class 15 bobbin holder. I have no doubt this machine will perform as new, sew through heavy materials and provide flawless stitches. I also believe it will last for another forty (40) years and beyond with maintenance. This machine comes with: 1. Foot pedal/power cord. 2. Button hole attachment and (2) cams 3. Button Hole stitch foot 4. Zig zag stitch foot. 5. Straight stitch foot 6. Straight stitch needle plate 7. Zig zag needle plate 8. Upgraded LED light bulb 9. Red spool felt discs 10. Several packages of Schmetz needles (sizes 10 - 16) 11. Bobbin holder and (1) bobbin 12.
