Description: A very typical Mwisi Wa So'o or Soco Mutu monkey mask purchased from a tribal arts dealer in Rwanda. One distinction it has is the enormous square tooth coming up from the lower jaw. This is a face simplified to the essential minimum. The squinty eyes and huge open mouth seem to emit "hooting". There is one large chip out of the right rim. It is 10 3/4" x 6 1/2" x 4".
