Description: These earrings were part of an estate sale in the late 1970’s when I owned a coin and collectible store in Austin, Texas. At that time I remember them telling me it belonged to their grandmother and my wife thought they were cute so we’ve held on to them until now. We are both retired and no longer go to many functions that require us to get all dressed up, so time to let someone else enjoy it. This is for a pair of sapphire earrings set in 14K gold, and the 14k stamp is marked on the stem but very hard to read it’s also on posts. Each earring has 7 (seven) pieces of round shaped blue Sapphires in the setting. Each earring is approx. 8mm across with approx. .25 ct. weight of SAPPHIRES for both earrings . I took these to my jeweler and he indicated they were vintage from the late 40’s or early 50’s and absolutely authentic SAPPHIRES in14K gold, with a retail value of about $500.00.
