Description: Condition: The guitar has two nicks on the body, shown in two photos. The brown faux fur lining on the case is loose at the bottom. The frets show some wear, please check photos carefully. Description: I am by no means a guitar expert, what I know, I've found on line. So, this is a guess based on Wikipedia: DM-2, DM-3 Dreadnought's were the same as the next description of the DM-5 with the exception sometimes early models had different machine heads. The main difference is the number designation from 2 thru 5, and was only used to designate a higher quality of wood being used in the making of them. DM-5 Dreadnought. Laminate spruce top. Laminate mahogany back and sides. Black binding (b/w/b/w/b.) Natowood neck. Unbound rosewood fingerboard. Nickel-silver frets. Open in-line tuning machines. Adjustable Rosewood Bridge on earliest examples. Adjustable truss rod through peghead from 1970 through 1979. My guess is this was made in Korea, based on what I have read. The sound is good (again, not a guitar player), but could use new strings. The serial number is 8608000335, could mean it was made in the 80's, maybe. Comes with red striped strap, an extra Martin & Co acoustic string, and a Matrix Quartz Tuner for acoustic and electric guitar, which has not been tested, so may or may not work. Measures: The case measures 42" long, 17" wide at the middle of the guitar, 6" across neck.
