Description: Vintage American Optical AN6531 Outdoorsman aviator sunglasses were gifted to members of the armed forces before and during WWII. These glasses were issued to pilots in 1930/1940 to such members in the Marine Corps, Army, Navy and Air Force. The aviator shape lenses were ultimately introduced to accommodate to pilots who were constantly looking down at their instrument panel. Features: -Brown mineral glass lenses -Cable “shooter” ear stems -Frame core is copper and the plating is nickel -Lightweight Measurements: -Temple to temple: 5.375” -Lense: 2.25” X 1.875” (at the widest point) Also included genuine leather case with snap closure.
