Description: This listing is for a single bit axe head. As shown this is marked - Wedge Axes / No. 100 / H.C. & Co. on one side and Trade Mark with an 'M' in a diamond in the middle and the number 99 in a circle. We do not know who H. C. and Co. is and another axe person told us this was a Mann axe. This axe head is in nice condition with just one tiny chip on one corner of the cutting edge. Measures 29 1/2" overall. The head measures 7 1/4" long with a 3 3/4" wide cutting edge. As shown the handle had tape on it which we removed and found that the handle was not cracked. There is a color difference where the tape was on the handle. We have never seen another axe with these markings. Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
