Description: VINTAGE CERAMIC ADVERTISING STILL BANK RCA VICTOR NIPPER DOG 8.5" Click images to enlarge Description This is an original ceramic dog bank with rubber stopper at the bottom. It has a gloss finish. It measures about 8-1/2" tall x 3-1/2" x 10-1/4" long (tip of nose to end of tail). There are no chips, repairs or cracks. This was direct from the estate of an RCA employee in NJ. Never used as a bank, only for display. Nipper was the terrier mix dog depicted in "His Master's Voice" painting. RCA adopted the American rights to the image of Nipper listening to the phonograph as their trademark in 1929. One of the most iconic trademark advertising images of the century!
