Description: Very nice pitcher / jug - drinking vessel - with a jaguar on top as handle and another as spout. The sides of the vessel are intricately decorated with many designs and feature llamas and birds. It is basically an upside down jug with a hole in the middle. I understand these were used to hold and serve Chicha, an alcoholic drink made from corn. Items measures 8 inches high X about 4 1/4 inches wide at widest point (side to other side of jaguar spout). It is about 3 3/4 inches in diameter at widest point of the actual vase/vessel. Item is marked "Cusco Peru". It weighs 12 ounces and is in very good pre-owned condition with no damage noted other than one slight scratch on the back of the jaguar handle - see photos. I have a number of Peruvian items from my own collection listed including hand carved gourds, large boot shape and other Chulucanas art pottery vases and plates. Hope you will take a look - shipping can be combined. Items ship in one business day; sooner if I am able. 11-02-19
