Description: Here's a vintage French tastevin. It's about 3.75" at the longest. The cup part is about 2 3/4" in diameter and the bottom has an embossed design. There are two marks near the handle. One is a 'C' or 'G' and a 'P' with a pictorial-looking mark in a square. There's also a number 2 with a mark in a square (please see photos). From what I understand, these are French silver plate marks but I don't know who the maker is. All I know is that the number '2' indicates a higher or thicker plate, and that this was made before 1982 when the silverplate grade changed from numbers to roman numerals. This tastevin still has a lot of shine to it but it does have spots of patina and light surface wear. Please make sure to look at every photo. Thanks!
