Description: An unique hand painted Goebel's Co-Boy Porcelain Gnome named "Chuck," who was made in W. Germany. Chuck is straddling a happy pink pig who is chewing on a four leaf clover. The bottom is stamped Goebel W. Germany and is imprinted 17 559 19, 1986. He measures approximately 8" high, 3 3/4" wide and 4 1/4" deep. He's in very nice condition without cracks or chips with some light scratches and scuffs. Also some light crazing just on the pig. In order to market the Co-Boys, Goebel created a fictional back story. The Gnomes live in Coburg, Germany. There actually is a Coburg, Germany, a town of over 40,000 inhabitants located on the Itz River in Bavaria. The Co-Boy series was produced by Goebel from 1971 to 1986.
