Description: Vintage Handmade Genealogy Quilt Hand Embroidered Red Work Stunning Patterns. 68" x 90" An estate buy it was obviously made to be an heirloom quilt. It looks like the family dated back to 1893 . There are several pretty embroidered areas with family names. There is one corner with several names and years. All hand sewn it must have taken a long time to do. Not sure when it was made but it has yellowed in places the worst area is the corner with the names. It has not been cleaned I would not attempt that myself. Besides the yellowing no tears or staining. The back is red and white striped fabric It is a winter weight quilt heavy and bulky. Selling as is. I hope someone will appreciate the work involved. It ought to be in a museum. From a smoke free home.
