Description: Signature Shipping and Insurance sent via USPS Priority Mail, or UPS or FedEx, whichever is cheaper and faster. Own a fantastic piece of "Early American Glass History" from 1913 in absolutely perfect condition. The price is for an ORIGINAL VINTAGE A.H. HEISEY & CO. QUATOR # 355 BONBON STEMMED CRYSTAL COMPOTE AND IS PERFECT. This pattern was made from 1913 until only 1935, making it between 89 to 111 years old. This really rare item is a "must" for all Collectors of Heisey glass. The stemmed bonbon compote is in perfect condition, with not even any scratches on its bottom, as would be expected from a bonbon this old. Its bottom is also factory ground, fire-polished, and hand cut, indicating a very good crystal glass as Heisey was noted for, as can be seen in the photographs. The bonbon is marked with the usual "H inside a Diamond" trademark of Heisey on the top center of the bowl as can be seen in the last photograph. The second photograph comes from an old Heisey Glass Co. Catalogue showing this exact piece. This crystal bonbon comes from a bye-gone era when American manufacturing was an "art", as can be seen from the gorgeously designed pattern, especially the hand cut serated (notched) sides on its 6-sided stem, as can be seen in the photographs. The top bowl measures 7 1/4 inches wide, and stands 8 inches high, and sits on a 4 Inch round base with 7 sections of varying length petals cut into the bottom, as can be seen in the last photographs. Heisey deliberately made this bonbon quite plain because it was sold to many other glass companies, including Tiffanys, where they decorated it themselves, either by acid etching or engraving or guilding. It is truly beautiful and elegant, and was purchased from an old estate sale on Long Island. As I have already mentioned, it was pre-owned, but has absolutely NO scratches, not even on its bottom as would be expected to be found a bonbon this old. I found it sitting on a top shelf inside a closed dining room cabinet, where it seemed to have sat there for many years and was never used. I have been collecting unusual vintage objects for many years, and always try to describe the items as best as I can. I don't see any chips, fleabites, cracks, stains, cloudiness, or repairs anywhere. It comes from a smoke-free home. I only accept PayPal, and never charge extra for packaging and handling. Signature Shipping and Insurance sent via USPS Priority Mail, or UPS or FedEx, whichever is cheaper and faster costs $16.85. Payment is expected within 3 days, after which I will immediately ship out the Heisey Quator Crystal Bonbon as soon as payment is verified by eBay. Buyer may be subject to sales tax which is collected by eBay, and not given to me at all. If payment is not received within 5 days, the Heisey Quator Crystal Bonbon will be relisted.
