The blades of the scissors have surface rust, which is probably from whatever the blades may have been coated in. However, they still cut pretty smooth. Could use a light sanding and sharpen. These buttonhole scissors have an awesome numbered flip out gauge to use as a stop setting. Haven't seen this before! Knob twists smoothly! Scissors measure just over 4.75". Made in Germany.
