Vintage MADEWELL 49 Model Airplane ENGINE

Description: THANKS for visiting my Sale Listing !! You are considering PURCHASING... ONE VINTAGE COLLECTIBLE PRE-OWNED MADEWELL MODEL 49 MODEL AIRPLANE ENGINE MADE BY MAXWELL MOTORS AS SHOWN..... This vintage engine belonged to my brother. We inherited it. My brother was into model airplanes/engines most of his life. We are not. So its time to clean out our protective storage closet and move forward. I'm not an expert in this field of vintage model engines. So I'm going to have to let my photos do most of the talking. SEE PHOTOS PLEASE. I was told this "49" was produced sometime in the late 40's.....but I cannot guarantee this. Examine the photos carefully and you be the expert! Thanks.... I note some additional stamped letters BELOW the "MADEWLL 49" ......but I can't make out what it says.....? The piston turns with compression. This engine has NOT been detailed cleaned or polished - SEE PHOTOS. Yes....this "49" is rough but what you see is what you will get! I'm selling this ENGINE - UNTESTED. It is also being sold "as-is" with NO returns. I see no obvious sign of ABUSE OR MISUSE except possibly the one nicked corner as shown in my photos.
