Description: Fletcher/Terry company was started in 1868 when O.M. Pike, a jeweler from Leverett, Massachusetts, invented a glass cutter. 1868 He invented the “Magic Diamond “, a glass cutter made of a hardened steel rod between two friction rollers. He receives a U.S. patent for his invention. Just a little information about this company. These glass cutters have a micro finish wheel, each cutter have a tapping ball on one end. As you can see in the photos, I have 3 new unused cutters each with their original box, and I have 3 used cutters without their original box. The big box is what a shop would display these cutters in, it’s a bit worn. For many years my Father did stained glass items, he was really good at so I believe he is the one that used these cutters. When my parents passed I thought I might take some classes on stained glass but never did and now I wouldn’t be able to because of arthritis in my hands. My price is for all the pieces you see in my photos. If you have any questions concerning these cutters please send me a message and I’ll do my best in answering them.
