About the Artist: Trudi Philion, famous Swiss-born Los Angeles artist, poses by the first of a series of oils on road racing to be exhibited at principal entities in the US. This one, titled "Before the Race," is a multi-colored impressionistic oil in which she captures perfectly the mood and atmosphere at the start-finish line prior to the start of a sports car race. Her vibrant colors here portray "an expectation of movement." A well-known colorist, pretty Miss Philion, who has sold many of her paintings to motion picture stars, is an avid road racing fan.
