Description: Vintage Pewter Double Dove Necklace, 18". The pendant is marked pewter and is a hammered background with two doves raised on top - pointing opposite directions. The pendant is appx. 1.25" tall and .75" wide (including the bail on top). It is oval shaped. The chain is a textured link that is oval and alternates direction. It is appx. 2.5mm wide. Doves have always been a religious symbol of peace and love. A dove in the Bible represents new beginnings, new possibilities, new creation, the presence of God. The necklace is in very good conditon. The necklace was manufactured in approximately the 1960’s to 1970’s.
