Description: A pristine set of 3 Wedgewood plates depicting historical structures on the campus of Chicago University in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Each plate lists what structure is depicted, as well as the year the structure was built. These include the Hull Gate in 1897, the Harper Memorial Library in 1912, and the Mitchell Tower in 1903. The plates are bordered with an Art Deco design. These plates have no chips, no cracks, no scratching, no staining. They have been extremely carefully kept. The plate depicting Hull Gate has an inclusion in the glaze on the back, this is pictured and happened at the time of manufacture. There are very few of these plates in circulation in today’s market.
