Description: Folding paste-board grocery store sold by various grocery chains during WW II. This one was for Acme stores. Toy grocery store came folded in heavy paper sack printed with lots of promotional information. Unfolded the store is large, 24" X 20", printed on both sides. Also included 5 folded stand-up aisles, play money and coins, Cut-outs of various products to "Buy", and stand-up checkout counter. One tear at corner of front door, not all the way through, so could be glued to repair. Great color on all this. From the estate and personal collection of Dian Zillner, author of numerous books on Dolls, Doll accessories, and Doll Houses. Many of the listed items have been used as illustrations in her books.
