Virga 1957 8” Lucy Doll with Carry Case and Accessories

Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This little doll is a Virga Lucy walker doll, which was made in 1957, making her approximately 67 years old at the time of this writing. She was manufactured by Colgate-Palmolive Fab as part of a soap box top mail-in premium, which at the time, included the doll and three outfits. She stands approximately 8 inches tall and is unmarked as far as I can tell (other than a handwritten tag penned to the back of her panties. She is made of hard plastic with a swivel head and jointed body with slightly bent arms and straight legs. She has a glued on auburn wig, painted arched eyebrows, molded eyelashes, big blue open and close sleep eyes, rosy cheeks, a button nose, and a closed mouth with watermelon color lips. She also has molded skin-tone shoes underneath her socks and shoes. She is a walker doll, in that her head moves back and forth when you move her legs. Her body and wig are in very good condition with only minor rubs and scuffs here and there; but her wig could use some styling. Her carry case is in good vintage condition with only minor rubs, scuffs, and scrapes here and there; however, the clasp is a little wonky; the gold paint on the metal corners has faded/rubbed off and have begun to rust(?); and the brown ribbon used to secure her in place has frayed ends. She comes in a new yellow dress with green and white flowers and white lace adorned with white flowers on the collar and white lace on the hem with matching bloomers, white lacy half-slip, white knit socks, white vinyl slip on shoes, and a green hair ribbon. She also comes with a white dress adorned with lace, faux pearls and blue hearts and a blue ribbon for her hair, white lacy half-slip, night gown and pink robe, extra panties, shoes, a white vinyl purse that opens, her baby doll, and a doll stand.
