Description: VNTG Papier Mache Lacquered Glove Treasure Box, Flowers Hand Painted Lid- 1880s. BELIEVED (not confirmed) to be a paper mache box created in late 19th century used for keeping ladies gloves stored/boxed up when not in use. The box shows definite age and has clear damage to the corners (shown in photos) but could possibly be repaired/restored to display the beauty and uniqueness of this rare piece of history. The lid still securely sits on top of the bottom as it should and does show some crazing (crackling) as aged art forms often do.
