This lot includes a WWI Era song pamphlet and a WWII Era song page from the Chicago Sunday Tribune. The "I Hear America Singing " pamphlet is the 1918 Liberty Edition of 100 songs. Songs include: America The Beautiful Battle Hymn Of The Republic My Old Kentucky Home Yankee Doodle and many others. The pamphlet is in good condition for its age with typical wear and discoloration. There is light writing in pencil on the first page and the top of the back cover. (see photos) The newspaper page is from the Chicago Sunday Tribune and is dated January 11, 1942. It includes the songs: The Star Spangled Banner Columbia Gem Of The Ocean America The Beautiful Yankee Doodle The other side of the page is more of an entertainment page including articles on: Alfred Hitchcock Humphrey Bogart Priscilla Lane Bob Cummings and an ad for Teel Liquid Dentifrice An interesting look back at WWI and WWII era music and history.
