Description: *NO SHIPPING TO CHINA* Total of 16 Pieces, 8 Placemats and 8 Matching Napkins. Circa late 1930s-Early 40s, simply Exquisite Madeira Linen Hand-Made and Hand-Embroidered Table Linens. There is a Scrolled Satin Leaf Edge which is Worked into the Organdy Border, which is then Embroidered with Delicate Flowers. The Satin is Glowing and Very Ethereal in Style and I would guess this is likely Silk. Each Placemat measures 12 X 17 1/2", each napkin measures approx. 16X16". The color is best described as an Ivory Stone Color, natural in tone. The Placemats are not perfectly oval in shape, they lean to a "heart" shape, although it's subtle. Overall this set is in Good Condition, the most noteworthy detraction will be areas of fraying (and fuzzing) to some of the satin leaves, on both placemats and napkins (see example pic). I am pricing this set in accordingly, it is estate direct and you will also note some moderate widespread yellowed spots to several napkins intermittently (I have not laundered this set). **VIEW MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE GREAT VINTAGE FINDS, We Combine Shipping!** Payment is Expected Within 7 days or item will be Resold * Winning Bidder Pays Actual Shipping * We will Combine Shipping on Multiple Auctions Won * ALL SALES FINAL * I reserve the right to delete a bid by a potential Non-Paying Bidder* By Bidding on This Item, You Accept & Acknowledge All Terms *
