The black beads include faceted rounds, smooth rounds and faceted oblongs interspersed, in a regular pattern, with textured gold-tone rounds that remind me of disco balls. All these are separated by little gold-tone balls. The beads graduate from about 1/4” to 3/4” in diameter. The necklace is 28” long and closes with a unique clasp. The clasp is marked DAUPLAISE (the maker, Carol Dauplaise, was once president of Miriam Haskell Jewelry) on one side and a number (3,984,900: a patent number) on the other.
