Description: Vintage Handmade Korean Decorative Porcelain Plate with Enamel Raised Relief. Vibrant colors! It is 9 1/2" Round, 1 1/2" Depth. Weight is 2lbs 7oz. Some slightly grayish marks that are embedded in the porcelain on back of plateare not discoloration or aging, but are original from the kiln process. The back of the plate has the traditional blue underglaze. Good Condition. Outlines of the decoration are transfer-printed and enamels are then applied by hand between the lines, giving it a smooth, 3D-like raised appearance. The blue mark appears to read 'folk/folklore' which refers to the scene depicted. The red mark on the back is the maker's mark, but, is unidentifiable.
