Description: an exceptional 1950s Italian art pottery table lamp featuring a bottle shaped vessel glazed in satin black with a silver geometric design. The lamp was designed by Aldo Londi, artistic director at Bitossi Ceramiche. It was imported by Raymor.Bitossi pieces are hand-thrown and hand decorated. No two are exactly alike.The lamp is in very good refurbished vintage condition. There is no damage. The black horizontal markings are fired into the glaze and not scratches.The piece is signed and numbered on the underside of the pottery.The lamp has been refurbished with all new electrics. It has a new premium nickel socket and turn key, as well as a new polarized plug set and new cording.
