Description: It may be hard to believe, but not long ago this 1935 vintage Westclox Baby Ben was broken, forlorn, forgotten, and heading for a dumpster. That's when Uncle Lem's Clock Shop intervened. ULCS is the last stop for orphan clocks. This Baby Ben was disassembled to the last gear and fastener, then cleaned, polished, and reassembled exactly as the Westclox factory did 90 years prior. The case was refinished in factory correct Almond White. The dial is a duplicate of the original. The solid brass base and nickel/copper back were polished to a mirror finish. This work consumed over 40 hours of labor. The result is more than cute. It's fully functional. It winds smoothly and runs an honest 30 hours plus, keeping time within two minutes over 24 hours. The alarm rings loud and proud, but can be softened to a mild clatter with a flick of a lever on the back. Use it as your daily bedside alarm. The ticking is so soft it can't be heard more than a foot away. It would also serve as a charming decor piece in your Art Deco room, or as a period movie prop. You won't find a nicer 1930s vintage Baby Ben on eBay or anywhere else. Uncle Lem guarantees it!
