However, these pieces (as explained below) were manufactured and ready for decals. However, when Westmoreland factory stopped running, these had yet to be completed. They were never avail to the general public in this condition. Please read below to learn the detailed history of this particular piece! Please read the the intriguing history behind these pieces! I am the 3rd owner of these lids. When the Westmoreland factory closed, they sold off hundreds of pieces directly from the factory. There were 2 people who purchased the bulk of the items. In their bulk purchase, there were hundreds of lids that had been manufactured, but not yet matched with the bottom peices, thus never avail for sale to the general public. The gentleman sold their pieces to a huge collector in Connecticut. She had these tops in her possession for over 20 years. When the collector moved out of state, she was forced to downsize. In that process, I purchased these peices from her. (I have 9 different types of uncirculated Westmoreland lids available in my other listings.) Gorgeous butter dish LID ONLY!
