Description: William T. Smedley (1858 - 1920) Illustration Art from "The Kentuckian" "He's in Jail" (Young Couple) and "I Know What You Thought" Watercolors Two individual watercolors, both illustration art by Pennsylvanian William T. Smedley, both from "The Kentuckian" The first, "He's in Jail", features a young couple. Condition of artwork is excellent, in a very good frame. Frame measures 16 1/2" x 21", with visible artwork measuring 9 1/2" x 14". The second artwork is "I Know What You Thought". Frame measures 23 1/2" x 17 1/2", with visible artwork measuring 16" x 10". On this one, running about 1" from right side, there is a line going up, almost like the artist used two pieces of paper to complete the piece. See last photo. Both pieces have Kennedy Gallery (New York City) labels attached. Shipping to USA addresses is by Fed Ex. Because the pieces are framed under glass, special care is needed in packing and shipping. In addition, both pieces shipped in one package, carefully packed with styrofoam sheets to protect glass. Thanks for looking!
