Description: An Original collection of WWII era or related postage stamps, most cancelled, many uncancelled, All are in nice condition, unmounted in a 12 x 9" stamp book with16 hardbacked pages, every stamp in semi- transparent acid-free sleeves. The collection includes approx 400-500 stamps, most of which I purchased from a Polish collector in the 1970s, a teenage survivor of a German concentration camp- he spent his early teen year with his family in the camp in 1944-45. (He showed me his camp "tattoo". Before the War and after liberation he collected stamps- most he collected in Germany surviving on his own as a teenage DP, trading GI rations to hungry Germans for their stamp collections .Most of the stamps are WWII era. The book also includes a few US WWII commemorative stamps. Most are wartime leaders, soldiers and flags, weapons series, also issues incl flag stamps of the Allied nations, US Armed Services series, 1945 FDR Memorial stamps issued by various nations, some prewar issues, Chiang Kai-shek Republic of China, Cuba ,also Germany & Axis occupied nations, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Czechoslovakia and Slovensko, Finland, Vichy France Volunteers, Croatia, Spanish Republic, Romania,, Italian Libia, The Nederland Legion, Norway, Poland, Occupied Poland, German General Government, Soviet Union. Etc,This is the group complete as I collected each stamp none have been removed or previously sold. All are complete in decent condition, but I do not know how to grade stamps and am not a stamp collector. I will not sell, individual stamps.
