Description: This little woven lidded basket is made from Carolina Sweetgrass and it is just gorgeous. It is about 8" long and about 5" wide and about 3.5" high. It is oval in shape with a lid that fits on top perfectly. The lid has a braided flat handle. The work on this basket is simply beautiful. Inside the base of the basket it is liked with a dark gold cotton fabric with an ivory lotus like pattern all over it. The bottom appears to be padded and the sided are ruched and gathered in a small ruffle around the top. It is so very unique and pretty. A great addition to any room and with the lid you can stow away treasures in it too. Some ways I'd use it is to store cards and stamps in my office, to hold sewing supplies, crafting supplies, napkin rings in my dining room, Jewelry in the bedroom, cotton balls or other little items in the bathroom, little items in a nursery, ponytail holders and bows in a little girls room, bouncy ball collections in a little boys room, or just have it out on a table with coasters hidden inside in the living room. It is a great size and shape for just decor as well. So very pretty and sweetgrass baskets are extremely popular. I can see why, it's beautiful and lends itself to very creative design.
