Description: 1943 M1 Schlueter helmet shell. OD GREEN Chin straps with 99% cork finish. I believe this helmet wasn't issued with the amazing untouched cork finish and paint. Liner has stampings of 1943 or 1945 on its webbing and it's sweatband. Westinghouse marked. Rear seam, swivel bale. Made in May 1943 according to the heat stamp. Black metal clasp on the leather helmet strap. The leather is fairly playable but has cracks. 100% real camouflage parachute made into a helmet cover. The AR is stamped into the cover. The stitching is a yellowed color from years of sitting. For those that do not know- AR stands for army/navy approved from the manufacturer. If in doubt, please do a Google search. 100% ALL ORIGINAL FROM 1943-45. ERA. On Aug-29-24 at 08:57:24 PDT, seller added the following information: MISTAKE ON THE HEAT STAMP.!!
