Description: X94 Harley Davidson 1975-1985 IGNITION KEY BLANKReplacement for key blanks with the a part number of X94 or HY5R.Fits Ignition of SOME Harley Davidsons from 1975 through 1985 (1 of 12 possible!). There is actually some conflicting information out there, but the gist of it is this: Harley Davidson had always used Briggs and Stratton groove #2 keys ever since since the 1920's. Starting some time around 1969 when the AMF period arrived, Harley started using 12 different similar-looking keys (!). After this experiment failed, around 1985 they then switched over to using 1 key (the Ilco X226) for the Sportster and variants of the old key system (plus the sportster key) on the larger bikes. My suspicion is that the bottom keys are backwards compatible with the top keys with the same keyway, but not vice-versa. Obviously, if your bike has a later tubular style key from around 1994 onward, this blank is not for you. The fitment and compatibilities loaded are the closest approximations I can get given the conflicting information out there, so use pic #3 as a starting point for your own research.The safest way is to match up part numbers. Or if you have your key code available, these blanks fit Harley key codes 043-118. If your key has a number in that range, you still need to pick out which profile that fits your lock using pic #3.
